It’s as much of a surprise to you as it is to us, but The Correctness is 1 year old this week. From its inauspicious beginnings as as a widely ignored blog on the internet to it’s current status as a widely ignored blog on the internet, The Correctness has weathered a number of seasons. Four.
We can barely remember what we had for breakfast, (though sometimes there are shirt clues to help us), so we looked back through the archives, and came up with a list of our favorite articles. We present these to you as a poll, and ask you, oh dear readers, to help us decide the “Favorite stories of the year: 2010″. If you have other favorites we haven’t added to the poll, leave a comment, and we’ll add them in. You can vote for up to 3 stories.
We decided to choose our favorite story by each of the three of us, as well as adding one more to round it out to 10.
Nerd’s letter to Penthouse (Tbinns) A great article, grabbed lots of attention on the web, made me laugh.
Emergency Car Repair (RobbieRobTown) Sums up everything about RRT: weird, funny, quirky. Gave me the idea for…
7 Things You Should Already Know About Flying Cars (admin_rock) I like the little touches in this one, things unexplained.
Hamlet’s Daytimer (Tbinns) For a play about a young man returning from college, this seems much more accurate than Billy’s version…
Tik Tok (admin_rock) I hate post modernism. I love pop music. Admin Rock made me reverse my opinions.
Book club (RobbieRobTown) Our meetings are like this.
Gerald and the Sea (admin_rock)
Apart from being hilarious, I think Dave really branched out here from his usual style as he is more of a pop culture pundit. It’s one of those “I wish I wrote that” articles.
Magic the Gathering Expansion Set(Tbinns)
just something I felt might have deserved a second look, especially when one takes into account the amount of effort I put into the damned thing.
Goodnight Hobo (RobbieRobTown)
Clearly, this is his epic. More so than the Epic of Karnes, which , while epic, does not contain the line “Muppity Muppity Muppity Mupp”. I look forward to terrifying my child with this one day.
And the wildcard pick
Smackdown: Captain America vs. Wonder Woman – First time anyone called RobbieRobTown an “encephalitic cum-eating intern”.
