The Correctness…Assemble!!
Normally, The Correctness is an original content only kind of site, and we aren’t the sort to get all link happy. But I think this is a special occasion.
The Avengers trailer just hit.
I think this is an excellent opportunity for all of us Correct heads to get together and have a good old gab about what we think of it. I am particularly looking forward to Admin_Rock’s take on it, as he will be torn between his dislike of the Avengers and his love of Joss Whedon.
As for myself…Fucking LOVED it.

You kids today don’t know what it’s really like. When I was young, things were different. We had different stuff that had fewer things on it, and it made more sense and took fewer batteries- or more to the point, no batteries at all, and that means it was WHOLESOME (TM). Yes, we even ate foods that were more wholesome, though actually we were all eating the same 20 commercially distributed things, and no one had heard the word organic, but everyone had heard the word “DDT”, and we used to have games like “Lick the DDT” and “What fits in my anus”, and it was a simpler time.

Weird, I read the headline and thought to myself, “How will I marry my dislike of the Avengers with my love of Joss Whedon?”
I’m……looking forward to it. Big team movies always have the potential to be too fractured, with a bunch of characters needing things to do, etc, but Whedon, above all, is a master of big casts. Years of Buffy,Angel,Dollhouse and one of Firefly have given him the experience needed.

I simply look forward to more Tony Stark. As a nerdling I’d cast famous people in rolls I wanted them in. Patrick Stewart was Prof. X and Robert Downey Jr. was Tony Stark.

I really think the studio made a mistake by not casting Nathan Fillion as Hawkeye.
Also, if the movie does well, will the sequel potentially give us Scarlet Witch as played by Christina Hendricks?
