Dear Square Enix:

I have a couple questions about Kingdom Hearts.
1. Why in your advertising do you pronounce “385/2 days” “three-eight-five days over two”, when logically it would be “three hundred eighty five over 2 days” or even more logically “192.5 days”?
2. WTF is with Kingdom Hearts? And, can you also explain the story of the game to me? Whose Nobody made Dixie the Waitress do what to Akira?

3. What does that have to do with Mickey?
4. What is an Enix, exactly?
Thanks.

Enix was the Japanese video game company that made Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior in the US); they bought Squaresoft (Square Co) in 2003, becoming Square Enix. And let’s be clear: Enix bought Square, NOT the other way around.
With all due respect, Wikipedia solves #2 and #4, maybe also #3. No idea what the hell is with #1 though

With all due respect Dave, Rob’s tongue is firmly lodged in his cheek here.

Dave, fascinating stuff, but you didn’t answer the question. What in the heck is an enix? Is it like a phoenix on a diet?

Question #1 gave me a chuckle. Ah, word salad game titles.
Me: Five, why does the title look like ‘Kingdorn Hearis’?
Friend: Looks like that title is *plays clip of Lex Luthor screaming “WROOONG!”*.

Everyone knows what an Enix is. It’s a school of monkeys that doesn’t fling poop at anything it sees. And have access to typewriters.
