Dave / I think you’ve naleid it Ystyn. I struggled all season to decide what it was that was underwhelming me with this show and you’re right, it’s style over substance. And sometimes that can be the draw, but in a show like this with such obviously interesting characters (though often under-, or simply un-, used) and an incredibly rich political and social backdrop against which to set a tale it seems to take too much heart in what I call the Wedding Singer dilemma. That is rather than engaging with the world it’s set in it spends it’s time making observations and then winking at the audience and saying “see aren’t we clever” or “remember these?”. I, like you, hope I’m wrong and the writers have a killer second season planned but at this rate BE will not be on my must watch list for next year.

am currently enjoying skyrim, very much like oblivion (incredible, huh?), although it may have to go on the back burner shortly, kingdoms of amalur: reckoning is coming out shortly. so very excited

Video games- Anything from the Harvest Moon series, and Tales of Symphonia. I also started playing Professor Layton. It’s the only puzzle game I ever liked.

Computer- Terraria and Reccetear.

Board games- Apples to Apples and monopoly.
