No no, what this site needs is more impotent nerd rage. No one has insulted Robbierobtown for his non opinions on Green Lantern in so long he’s calling 1-900 numbers and asking THEM to call him an encephalitic cum eating intern.
That is not right people.
That’s why, sometime this week, The Correctness is going to sit down, eat for more food than is healthy for men of our advancing age group and talk about yet another Smackdown. As much as we’d all like to invite you out for said lunch, we know the scheduling would be a nightmare. We can’t even schedule a dinner with someone who won a contest, much less all 12 of you who regularly read the site. So instead, we offer you this spot to make your opinions known, what kind of a Smackdown would you like to see next? Here are a few suggestions that are already on the table.
Movie Action Hero Smackdown (Indy versus James Bond, that kind of thing)
Mega Power Smackdown (Thanos, Galactus, and that large headed crowd)
Loser Smackdown (A best of the worst, who is the least lame of the world’s lamest superheroes)
Ladies on Ladies Smackdown (All female superheroes. This may or may not involve spontaneous lesbianism. But knowing Rob, the chances are pretty good.)
The Same/Same Smackdown (Similar powered heroes from different universes, Green Arrow vs. Hawkeye, Quicksilver Vs. Flash, that kind of thing)
If you have any suggestions, go right ahead and lay em on us. Also, if you could say something nasty to Rob, he’d appreciate it.

I like the Idea of the Loser smack down and the Same Same smack down.
I would love a video game smack down but I feel it would just be T-bins debating himself and rob making an educated guesstimation by looking at box art.

same same i think would suck, mainly cause i wouldnt know half of the contestants although i do predict large amounts of impotent nerd rage. chick on chick smackdown … i predict no nerd rage as they will all only have one hand and it sucks to type like that. no one cares about mega super heros (op’ed bastards). Action Heros would kick ass and provoke more angry comments than … well something that would get a lot of angry comments. the losers fight would be plain funny. BUT MY VOTE (in the spirit of all things correct) goes to … drum roll please … IF I HAD A TIME MACHINE CASTING COUCH SMACKDOWN. thank you and goodnight.

This is one of the top 3 irritating things about Marvel. It makes no sense at all that Wolverine would be an Avenger. I think it’s stupid that Spider-Man is one as well, but at least Spidey has the time.
Marvel is still in the “pimp the character out into every possible book” mode.

I like the team vs. team, Like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vs. The Masters of the Universe. Or maybe Thundercats Vs. The Autobots.
What about something to do with music? Maybe an epic rock-off, or pehaps a Even a musician death match, ( Who doesn’t want to hear about Geddy Lee getting his ass beat in by Steven Tyler?)

Muppets Smackdown in general sounds promising; don’t have to keep it all Sesame Street and Muppet Show, ’cause there have been quite a few movies with Jim Henson’s critters in them…
Could also have a SitCom Smackdown… Big Bang Theory vs Third Rock, for example, if you wanna go past vs present… Or evening TV in general, I suppose… House vs ER? lol This could get really silly… But I kind of like silly.
Or, just to annoy Craig Ferguson could do a Late Night War, because he hates that (he says he loves Jimmy Fallon)… But who wouldn’t still love to say snarky things about Leno? Or is that old hat now?

Only in offense though. He’s still only got the one lifebar (plus e-tanks), no matter how many weapons he has at his disposal. All Samus has to do is grapple-beam him over to a bed of spikes and he’ll pop like the little blue water balloon that he is.

How about a smackdown of impossible odds? Like Superman versus the Carebears? (colorful, loving splat) Wolverine versus Hello Kitty (she is two apples tall and only weighs three apples). If you want to stick to real super heroes, it more like Wonderwoman versus Elektra, Magneto versus Robin the boy wonder (crunch).

A battle of the “normals” might be good, too. No meta-humans allowed. The Punisher, Street Fighter’s Ryu, Ninja Gaiden’s Ryu, Snake Eyes from GI Joe, etc.
Bruce Wayne would bankroll the event, naturally.
